Welcome to Aletto. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your
use of the Aletto mobile application and related services (the "Service"), owned and operated by Tandavaworks Global LLP. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to
be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Service.
01 Interpretation and Definitions
Application / Service: The software program named Aletto provided by the Company.
Company:Tandavaworks Global LLP, Chennai, Tamil
Nadu, India.
Device: Any device that can access the Service, such as a cellphone or tablet.
Handle: A unique public username you choose to identify yourself to other users.
Connection: Another Aletto user you have linked with, or whom you designate to send
or receive alerts.
Recipient: A person to whom an alert is delivered (a Connection or an email address
you provide).
Saved Location: A place (name and map coordinates) you save to reuse when creating
location alerts.
Location Alert / Geofence: An alert that triggers when your Device enters, leaves,
or remains ("dwells") for a set duration within a virtual boundary ("geofence") around a Saved
Location, using device location and background monitoring.
Subscription: A recurring paid plan (e.g., Basic, Premium, Elite).
Credits: A consumable in-app balance (one-time purchase or included with a plan)
used to send alerts over paid channels.
Access Grant / Permission: An authorization that lets one user act in relation to
another; can be requested, approved, declined, or revoked.
Magic Link: A single-use, time-limited link sent to an email address to verify
ownership or grant/accept access.
You: The individual accessing or using the Service.
02 Description of Service
Aletto is a connected alerting application designed to send alert messages to you and to people you
designate through push and email notifications that are triggered based on time and location. The
Service offers a
free tier and optional paid Subscriptions and Credit packs; lets you create a public handle and
(optionally) be discoverable so other users can find and connect with you; lets you register multiple
devices and email addresses; lets you create location alerts that trigger when you
arrive at or leave a place you save, using device location and background geofencing; lets you connect
with other users, grant or request access, and include others when sending alerts; provides blocking,
reporting, and content moderation; lets you duplicate existing alerts to easily create copies; lets you
export a copy of your data; lets you share the app with others; and includes in-app Help & FAQ and
support. The Service is supported in part by in-app advertising.
03 Eligibility and User Accounts
To use certain features you must register for an account and be legally capable of entering into a
binding contract. You must be at least 13 years old; users aged 13–17
must have parental/guardian consent; and only individuals 18 or older (or otherwise
legally able to contract) may make purchases. By creating an account, you agree to:
Provide accurate, current information. Failure to do so is a breach of these Terms.
Maintain the security of your credentials and safeguard your password.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Keep the app installed so your device's FCM token stays active and alerts can be delivered.
Profile, Handles and Discoverability
You may choose a unique handle. You must not select a handle or profile content
that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or that impersonates another person or brand. We may
modify, reclaim, or reset handles — e.g., for trademark, impersonation, abuse, or prolonged
inactivity.
"Allow others to find me" controls whether other users can discover you by handle
or name. You can enable or disable it any time and are responsible for your visibility choices.
Devices
You may register more than one Device. You are responsible for securing each Device and removing any
you no longer control. Alert delivery depends on a Device's FCM token remaining active.
Email Addresses and Magic Links
You may add only email addresses you own or are authorized to use, and you are responsible for
activity conducted through them.
Magic links are single-use and time-limited. Treat them like a password — do not
share them; anyone holding a valid link may gain the associated access until it expires. Only
forward a magic link to the intended owner of the destination address.
04 Critical Disclaimer: Nature of Alerting
No Guarantee of Delivery or Execution: Aletto relies on third-party services
(Google Firebase, app stores, email providers, ISPs, device operating systems). Tandavaworks Global LLP assumes no risk or liability
for any failure, delay, error, suppression, or inaccuracy in the delivery of alerts across
any channel (push, email, magic links, or any other method), or in the
monitoring, scheduling, triggering, or execution of alerts, whether caused by us, a
third party, your device, your settings, or network conditions.
Not an Emergency Service: Aletto is NOT a replacement for official
emergency services (e.g., 100, 101, 108 in India or 911 in the USA). Do not rely solely on Aletto
for life-safety, medical, financial, or other critical situations.
Location Alerts & Geofencing: Location alerts depend on your device's
operating-system location and geofencing, which are approximate and best-effort.
Triggers may be delayed, missed, duplicated, or fire inaccurately due to GPS/signal
conditions, OS battery-optimization or background limits, permission settings, device state, or map
data. Firing also requires that you grant background ("Allow all the time")
location access; with only "While using the app," alerts may not trigger when the app is closed. We
assume no risk or liability for the timing, accuracy, or occurrence of any location
alert, and you must not rely on it for any safety-critical or time-critical purpose.
User Responsibility: It is your responsibility to ensure your device is powered on,
connected to the internet, and that notification permissions (and, for location alerts, location
permissions) are granted, and to independently verify anything important.
05 Content
The Service allows you to post and send Content (note alerts, location alerts, messages). You are
responsible for the Content you post and send, including its legality and reliability. You grant us a
limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, transmit, distribute, and moderate such Content
solely through the Service to provide the intended functionality and enforce these Terms.
06 Connections, Recipients and Access
The Service lets you add other users as Connections, designate Recipients, grant access to others, and
request permissions from others. You agree that:
You will only add, invite, include, or send alerts to people who have consented to
receive them; you are solely responsible for having that consent.
Granting access lets another user act in relation to you (e.g., send you alerts,
include you as a recipient, or use features you share). Requesting permission asks
another user to grant you such access; they may approve or decline. Either party may
revoke a grant or relationship at any time.
A Connection or Recipient may decline, block, or remove a relationship, or opt out of receiving
alerts, at any time.
You will not use handles, discovery, Connections, access grants, or alerts to send spam, harassment,
threats, or unlawful, deceptive, or infringing content, or to contact people who have not consented.
We may suspend or remove handles, relationships, access grants, or Content that violate these Terms
or are reported as abusive.
07 Blocking, Reporting and Moderation
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. By using the Service you
agree that there is no tolerance for objectionable, offensive, harassing, threatening, hateful, or
otherwise abusive content or conduct directed at other users. You agree not to post, send, or transmit
such content, and you acknowledge that we may remove objectionable content and terminate or
suspend the accounts of users who engage in abusive behavior immediately, without prior
notice, at our discretion.
Blocking: You may block another user at any time. Blocking stops that user from
connecting with you, contacting you, or sending you alerts. You can manage blocked users in
Settings → Blocked Users.
Reporting: You may report a user or a message that you believe violates these
Terms. You agree to report in good faith and not to submit false or abusive reports.
Moderation: We may automatically screen, filter, or restrict message and alert
content, and may warn, suspend, remove content, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Moderation decisions are made at our reasonable discretion; we may retain related records for
safety, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
No circumvention: You will not attempt to evade a block, moderation action, or
account suspension (for example, by creating new accounts or handles).
08 Notifications and Devices
Self-alert pausing: You may pause an individual Device or email address from
receiving your own self-alerts without affecting your other Devices or channels.
System & account notifications: You acknowledge and agree that important
system / account notifications — such as subscription or credit changes, alerts
being auto-paused, and security or account messages — are sent to all of your registered
Devices even when a Device is paused from receiving your self-alerts. These are
operational messages about your account and the Service, not marketing, and you cannot opt out of
them while you maintain an account (beyond turning off OS-level notifications for the app).
OS permissions: All delivery remains subject to the notification permissions you
grant at the operating-system level.
Location permission: Location alerts require you to grant location access —
including background ("Allow all the time") access — and to keep device location
enabled. You are responsible for these settings; you can revoke location access or delete Saved
Locations in Settings → My Locations at any time, which stops the related location alerts.
Additionally, location alerts (geofences) are registered and monitored on the physical hardware of
the specific Device on which they were created and cannot be transferred to another Device. To edit
a location alert's location or triggers, you must do so from that specific Device; if you change
Devices, you will need to create a new location alert on the new Device.
09 Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal
Aletto offers optional auto-renewing Subscriptions, sold and processed through the Apple App
Store (StoreKit) or Google Play Billing, with entitlements managed by
RevenueCat. We do not offer a free trial; a free tier is available without payment.
Pricing & plans (e.g., Basic, Premium, Elite) are shown in the app and at the
point of purchase before you pay. Prices may vary by region and include applicable taxes where
required.
Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation
of purchase.
Auto-renewal: Your Subscription automatically renews for the same period unless
auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Manage / cancel: Manage or cancel your Subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, any
time in your device's Account Settings (Apple App Store or Google Play). Cancelling stops
future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Price changes: If we change prices, we will notify you in advance as required by
the app stores and applicable law; changes apply to subsequent renewals.
10 Credits and Virtual Items
Credits are a consumable, in-app balance — bought as a one-time (consumable)
purchase or included with a Subscription — used to send alerts over paid delivery
channels (such as email). Free push notifications do not consume Credits.
Cost scales with delivery: Credits are consumed per delivery item
on a paid channel. Sending a single alert to more than one item on the same channel
— for example, multiple email addresses, or multiple recipients on a paid channel — consumes Credits
for each such item. Larger recipient lists therefore cost proportionally more
Credits. The estimated cost is indicated in the app before you send.
Allowance Credits included with a Subscription are granted per billing period and
are "use-it-or-lose-it" — they reset each period and do not carry over. Purchased
Credits bought as a one-time pack persist until used, subject to these Terms.
Credits have no monetary value, are not redeemable for cash, and are
non-transferable except as expressly provided in the app.
Credits are consumed when an alert is queued for a paid channel. Once consumed, Credits are
non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
11 Tier Limits and Plan Changes
Each plan provides limits on active alerts — including separate limits for premium
and non-premium (note) alerts — on recipients per alert, and on included Credits.
Certain premium alert features, such as recurring location alerts, require a paid Subscription plan;
location alerts under the Free tier are limited to one-time triggers. Current limits are shown in
the app.
Downgrades / expiry: If your plan changes to one with lower limits (including when
a Subscription expires and you return to the free tier), alerts exceeding the new limits are
automatically paused. We pause your most recently created alerts first and keep the
earliest within the limit. Paused alerts are not deleted.
Upgrades: Upgrading does not automatically resume previously paused alerts; you may
resume them manually, subject to your plan's limits.
12 Refunds and Cancellations
Because purchases are processed by the app stores, refund requests are governed by the Apple
App Store and Google Play refund policies and must generally be requested directly from
Apple or Google. We do not separately collect payment and typically cannot issue store refunds on
your behalf.
Consumed Credits and the used portion of any service are non-refundable except where a refund is
required by applicable law.
Nothing here limits any non-waivable statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
13 Advertising
The Service is supported in part by advertising served through Google AdMob. Where
required by law (e.g., in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we present a consent prompt at startup, and on
iOS we use Apple's App Tracking Transparency, before any personalized advertising. You can review your
ad-consent choices in Settings → Ad Privacy Settings. We are not responsible for the content,
products, or services of third-party advertisers, and your dealings with advertisers are solely between
you and them. See our Privacy Policy for details and your ad choices.
14 Platform-Specific Terms (Apple & Google)
Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms of the store from which you obtained the app.
Apple (iOS): Your license is a Licensed Application End User License Agreement
consistent with Apple's Standard EULA (the same EULA is linked from Settings → License
Agreement on iOS devices). These Terms are between you and the Company only, not Apple;
Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance/support or to handle warranty or product-liability
claims relating to the Application; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party
beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them. iOS purchases are
processed via the Apple App Store / StoreKit.
Google (Android): Your use is subject to the Google Play Terms of
Service (linked from Settings → Google Play Terms on Android devices), and
purchases are processed via Google Play Billing.
In case of conflict, the applicable store's rules regarding purchases and refunds prevail for those
transactions.
15 Intellectual Property
All content, source code, UI/UX design, and logos associated with Aletto are the exclusive property of
Tandavaworks Global LLP. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer
any part of the Service. The "Share Aletto" feature is provided only to recommend the app via a link to
our official store listing; you may not misrepresent the app or use our marks otherwise.
16 Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the Service for illegal purposes; to send spam, harassment, or unlawful Content; to
add Recipients or contact users without consent; to impersonate any person or brand through a handle or
profile; to harvest, scrape, or index user profiles or handles obtained through discovery; to send
unsolicited or bulk connection, alert, or permission requests; to share or abuse magic links to gain
unauthorized access; to evade blocking, moderation, or account suspension; to submit false or abusive
reports; to interfere with our API/backend or with notification delivery; to circumvent plan limits,
Credits, advertising, or billing; or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, devices,
or our systems.
17 Accessibility
We strive to make Aletto accessible and to support platform accessibility features (such as screen
readers, dynamic text sizing, contrast, and reduced motion). Accessibility support is provided on a
reasonable-efforts basis and does not change the disclaimers and limitations in these Terms. If you
experience an accessibility barrier, please contact us (§25).
18 Support and Data Rights
The app provides an in-app Help & FAQ and Contact Support /
Send Feedback options in Settings → Support & Feedback. You may export a
copy of your data using Profile → Export My Data, and update or delete your information in
settings. Support is provided on a commercially reasonable-efforts basis; see our Privacy Policy for how
we handle your data and requests.
19 Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of
any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability,
fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service
will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any alert will be delivered, monitored, or
executed. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may
not apply to you.
20 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tandavaworks Global LLP and its
partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages,
or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or relating to the use or inability to use
the Service — including missed, delayed, or undelivered alerts, or any failure of monitoring or
execution across any channel — even where a Subscription or Credits have been purchased. To
the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a)
the amount you paid us for the Service in the three (3) months before the claim, or (b) INR 1,000.
21 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its partners, and service providers from any
claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your
Content, your use or misuse of the Service, your alerts or Recipients, your violation of these Terms, or
your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
22 Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including
breach of these Terms or repeated or serious reports against you. Upon termination, your right to use
the Service ceases immediately. Terminating your Aletto account does not by itself cancel an active
store Subscription — you must cancel it in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings to stop
future renewals.
23 Governing Law, Disputes & Regional Terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu,
India shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of
residence. EU/UK users: nothing in these Terms affects your non-waivable statutory
consumer rights, including any mandatory right of withdrawal and remedies for non-conforming digital
content. US users: your use is also subject to applicable US laws; to the extent
permitted, disputes are resolved on an individual basis and not as a class action. Your use of the
Application may also be subject to other local or international laws.
24 Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of Aletto after changes are
posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
